Welcome, Crazy Cat Ladies!

We're happy to introduce you to our video podcast, KATSHAT, where we chat about cats. The first episode explores how the ambiguous phrase, "crazy cat lady," can be defined. Let's see what our hosts Dan & Sarah have to say:

(Click here to watch KATSHAT on YouTube)

It's true that the term still holds some of its negatives. However, it has also evolved over time to encompass those who are passionate about their cats and the types of relationships that are harbored between owner and pet.

We want to know what your definition of a crazy cat lady is!

  1. You guys were funny. I was a reluctant cat lady. My daughter made me adopt a shelter cat when she went off to college. I made the mistake of telling her I dreamt of a white cat with black spots and I called her Nolo for Nolo Contende (not contesting). Darn, she found a white cate with black spots. So Layla became my cat. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CAT. She keeps me company and I can't believe how companionable she is. I buy her toys/etc. My daughter said I have to stop buying her beds. Now, I just adopted another cat from the shelter. She hates Layla and I am in love with her too. Good lord, I've become a cat lady! Thanks for the website. For me to post a comment must mean i am crazy for cats after all. LOL =^.^=

  2. ScoopFree LEAKS. It is cardboard and cardboard leaks. They should have went ONE step further and made a plastic box.It scoops good but it will ruin a wood floor.

  3. I found the boxes that I get from the delivery service are pretty good for not leaking. They have a nice covering on the cardboard. Almost like it is laminated. I haven't had a 'store bought' box for awhile so don't remember if they had the plastic covering.

  4. Your Tobias looks like my Amelia! Except Amelia has darker points.

I must be a crazy cat lady because I have had as many as four cats at once. I "only" have three now, (plus 2 dogs) and they all get along famously. In addition to Amelia, the oldest is Sweetie, who is an orange marmalade male, and Margaret, who is a black/grey tabby. All have been spayed/neutered. All of my critters have "people names" except for Sweetie.

I have two of the Scoop-Free litter boxes, and change them every two weeks because otherwise they start to stink. I have them because of the dogs because they like the "tootsie roll treats" otherwise.

  5. Good morning & thanks for the comments! It's so exciting to hear about your experiences. It sounds like your cats have made a great impact on your lives. I guess that's why they tend to accumulate, hehe :)

  7. Was having a challenging day until I read this blog and it made me smile. Yes, I guess I need to admit that I (in spite of an MBA!) have become one of those "cat-ladies", but now I can say that I'm proud of it now that the SECRET is out! :-)) No more apologies for cuddling (for the few moments they will allow!) with these precious animals. I was previously a "dogs only" type of person, but these two little ones truly stole my heart by meowing for me when they can't find me. (Who says cats are great hunters?) :-))
A big THANK YOU for making SFree! I tell everyone I know about it as my male and female cats have used these trays for over three years and I am SO happy with this product! I can have pet sitters for our cats and know that our cats' routines will not be too disrupted when we travel. Thanks for the peace of mind!
