We have heard of cats that eat vegetables like sweet potatoes, mushrooms and green beans. There are even a few kitties that enjoy a sweet snack like donuts every now and again. But watermelon? Check out this video of a cat that eats watermelon with zeal! There is no doubt he/she loves the fruit.
Eating yummy fruit and veggies is one thing but what is if your cat is eating non-food items, like wool, rubber or plastic? He/she may have a condition called 'pica'. Pica can be a sign that your cat is suffering from severe anemia or other disorders. For more information on cats eating non-edible food items, see WebMD's article on unusual cat cravings and a veterinarian's blog detailing what it means when cats eat weird things.
